A New Brand for the Region

Although many places are advertised as unique and special, this is only really convincing in certain cases.
So let us think: does the region in Poland where people have the longest lifespan deserve to be called special? And is the region with almost 90% of the Polish aviation industry not unique? And should we not consider the region which is shrouded in those legends of mystery, adventure and freedom due to the proximity of the Bieszczady Mountains exceptional? This is the Sub-Carpathian region (Podkarpackie).
Poles associate Podkarpackie with fresh air, freedom, space, tranquility and beautiful scenery. This is absolutely true and, therefore, it is not surprising that we are at the forefront when it comes to organic agricultural production. But for us it is equally important that there are colleges, which offer unique courses of study, in this beautiful setting. In Rzeszów itself, the capital of the region, engineering degrees in aviation are combined with gaining a civil aviation pilot’s license. As a result there are various developments in different fields: aviation industry entrepreneurs, organic food producers, and IT manufacturers.
The multicultural character of the region results in a large number of tourist attractions and cultural events, immersed in tradition, but relevant to the present.
The brand of a place is simply a kind of promise that the region gives to people – tourists, entrepreneurs, and residents.
Podkarpackie promises everyone a broader perspective, the sense of living in harmony with the environment, understanding what is really important in life, thinking in terms of the future. Here you are at a distance from the world and have a bird’s eye view of everything, which restores a sense of proportion.
This promise is reflected in different dimensions of life: an innovative economy and balanced development, education facing the challenges of the future, respect for traditions and openness to different cultures. The slogan: ‘Podkarpackie – the open space’, results from this.

Marka miejsca, to mówiąc najprościej, obietnica, jaką region składa otoczeniu – turystom, przedsiębiorcom, mieszkańcom.
Ta obietnica znajduje odzwierciedlenie w różnych wymiarach życia: innowacyjnej gospodarce i zrównoważonym rozwoju, edukacji odpowiadającej wyzwaniom przyszłości, poszanowaniu tradycji i otwartości na różne kultury. Z niej bierze swoje źródło hasło: Podkarpackie. Przestrzeń otwarta.
