Fort Luneta Warszawska was founded in 1850-56 as part of the defense system of the austrian Cracow’s Fortress. The interiors of this horseshoe-shaped building were restored and designed with taste – in which was created the Hostel like never before.

– More and more tourists are staying here – from the country and from abroad. We are glad that they always ask about the history of the building. Their attentions and the fact that they are here, makes Luneta alive again. It is fair to say that this is one of those unique places on the map of Krakow, where history meets the present – says Joanna Węglarz, manager of the Hostel.

The space was finished with attention to every detail. Red brick walls, oak floors and original windows makes an unique atmosphere. The antique elevator, which remembers the reigns of Emperor Francis Joseph, deserves special attention. Luneta Warszawska offers private rooms with bathrooms and dormitories. In addition, cooperates with Fort Luneta Warszawska Foundation, which supports the innovative development and protection of monuments, especially those of the military.
