To be able to admire Kraków’s Market Square with a glass of Prosecco in your hand while lounging in a hot ‘bubble’ bath… Today this is not a hedonist’s dream but a possibility. In order to achieve this dream you need to rent an apartment in Betmanowska House (Kamienica Betmanowska) located on the Main Square of Kraków and you will be able to enjoy a view of the Cloth Hall, the Town Hall Tower and all the other treasures of the Market Square.

Located at number 44, the building dates back to the beginning of the fourteenth century, although in the nineteenth century, two adjoining buildings were joined that subsequently were called Betmanowska House. The building is easy to recognize from a distance because of its beautiful attic and relief of Hermes. Today, the whole building is dedicated to visitors to Kraków. – One location, many possibilities. These words best describe our aim in running Betmanowska Residence – says Ewa Cienki.

There are 30 apartments on the three floors of the building and a 24/7 reception that is always willing to help the guests in any way possible. All the apartments are luxuriously furnished and well equipped, with free Internet access. Those overlooking the Market Square, some of which have the afore-mentioned jacuzzi, are the most popular.

The ground floor of Betmanowska House is open to both residents and non-residents who are welcome in any of the three venues, all of which have the maxim, ‘One location, many possibilities’. There is the Staropolska Restaurant, which in the morning serves a delicious and hearty breakfast buffet for all the guests, with a wide selection of meats, cheeses, pickles, fruit, sweets and beverages. There are also cooked dishes, and the chef is happy to make not only scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and poached eggs but also omelettes and pancakes if requested. Later in the day, the restaurant serves Polish and Old Polish cuisine, with dumplings whose stuffing changes with the seasons being the most popular. Many dishes are grilled in front of the customers, including the excellent Polish tenderloin, pork neck or traditional sausages.

The Polski Pub can be entered straight from the Market Square. Obviously, wines and liquers from around the world are served, but its most famous drink is the lager delivered directly from the brewery in Tychy, lager which has a shelf-life of just a fortnight. Another attraction is a huge flat screen TV with a width of nearly 100 inches that is a great boon for fans of major sporting events.

Another restaurant housed in Betmanowska House is Virtuoso, which is adjacent to the pub. – It has the real atmosphere of Italy. This is why our excellent pizza with a soft dough baked in a wood-fired oven is popular. We also serve a lot of pasta and other Italian specialties. We are proud of the wide range of desserts, among which tiramisu is our guests` favourite – smiles Ewa Cienki.

Z widokiem na Sukiennice

Podziwiać krakowski Rynek Główny z kieliszkiem Prosecco w dłoni i w dodatku wylegując się w wannie z „bąbelkami”… To dzisiaj nie marzenie hedonisty, a całkiem realna perspektywa. Wystarczy wynająć apartament w kamienicy Betmanowskiej położonej właśnie przy najważniejszym krakowskim placu, aby zagwarantować sobie takie warunki do podziwiania Sukiennic, wieży Ratuszowej i wszystkich innych skarbów Rynku Głównego.

Łatwo go rozpoznać po pięknej attyce i płaskorzeźbie Hermesa.

Pierwszy to restauracja „Staropolska”.

Inna atrakcja lokalu to ogromny telewizor o przekątnej niemal 100 cali. To przed nim zbierają się kibice by oglądać najważniejsze imprezy sportowe.

Z pubem sąsiaduje kolejna w Kamienicy Betmanowskiej restauracja – Virtuoso. – Ten lokal ma włoski charakter. Króluje w nim więc znakomita pizza z delikatnym ciastem wypiekana w piecu opalanym drewnem.
